I have submitted my resignation as Media and Public Relations Manager at ARRL.
During my ten-year tenure at ARRL, it has been my pleasure to help raise awareness of all that Amateur Radio has to offer, and create or help promote programs such as ARRL’s National Parks on the Air, the ARRL Collegiate Amateur Radio Initiative, and satellite and portable operating in general. Being able to serve at this level has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I thank everyone at ARRL for the support of these efforts.
However, it is now time to pursue another path.
While I will still be engaged in social media/PR endeavors, at least part of my path will involve pursuing my second great passion: baking artisan breads, pizza and pastry. I am reviewing several culinary schools that I may attend.
My last day at ARRL will be Friday, August 4.
Of course, I have no plans to go off the air anytime soon. I’ll still be enjoying portable QRP adventures and working the Amateur Radio satellites, from one outdoor operating site or another. I hope that if you enjoy Amateur Radio as much as I do, you will make the effort to promote on-air activity in every form, participate in community service, and share your love for the greatest hobby on Earth.
Thank you for letting me be of service to the Amateur Radio community.
